4 Tips for Visiting Celestial Park in Universal Epic Universe

Celestial Park, Universal’s Epic Universe, Orlando, Florida, 2025

We spent two park days in Epic Universe during our 4-night July 2025 trip. Because we stayed at Helios resort and used the dedicated park Entrance, we only entered/exited the main park gate once. The elements of the Celestial Universe are divided through the central area of the park, stretching between two large sculptures depicting the mythological gods Helios and Luna.

The paths that wind between the gardens in the central area after the park entrance are a lovely break from the business of the lands. It would have been easy to completely miss them during a trip. as we rushed into the park during early opening hours and didn’t return to this section until leaving. With the only table service restaurant, Atlantica, at the center, it makes it inconvenient to travel through this section between the other six portals.

Plan for Down Time at one of the many restaurants around Celestial Universe

Epic Universe offers more dining options than any other Universal Park. Most are quick service, but even those offer mobile ordering after being seated. Because we wanted to experience as many as possible during our short visit, we pre-planned some smaller meals to share around the park. This also helped us get breaks from the heat and enjoy a drink while we planned for our next activity. With more time we would have dined at one of the table service options, and the signature restaurant Atlantic remains high on our list for our next trip. Celestial Universe has the widest range of types of cuisine, from Pan-Asian at The Blue Dragon to pizza at Pizza Moon. We enjoyed a small lunch (and one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I’ve had) at Meteor Astropub.

Save Constellation Carousel for early evening or during rain.

Constellation Carousel is a unique experience, with some of the celestial-based characters orbiting on interior tracks while others remain stationary. The line moves very slowly; there are fewer seats than on a more traditional carousel, and although many seat double most adults opt to ride their own. During our visit guests could cut wait time a bit by choosing to ride on a bench style seat. The lights and dreamy music make the ride much better when the sun isn’t shining. It is also one of the few attractions that is available during inclement weather, as many of the coasters and other outdoor rides close down.

Ride Stardust Racers at Night

I rode Stardust Racers twice, each time using the Single Rider line to cut my wait time down to 20 minutes while standby was over 50 minutes. The coaster is the most intense theme ride in Epic Universe, with inversions on the two tracks that run coasters simultaneously. Like much of the park, it is a better experience after dark, as the lights illuminate the track and the cars. I got in line just as they were closing it for the night, so it was also fun to exit later to a mostly empty, but still lit up, Celestial Universe.

See the Cosmos Fountain Show

The fountains dance and are colorfully lit throughout the entire night, but the Cosmos Fountain show was only offered at 9pm during our visit. While Cosmos doesn’t have the projections or drones of the CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular at the Universal Studios park, it does feature songs from the each Epic Universe’s themed lands. It provides a much more relaxing end to the day, as guests are seated on grass tiers around  the plaza.
