Universal’s Stella Nova Resort, 2025

We visited Universal Orlando on the second week of the official opening of Epic Universe, just as the capacity for park attendance was increased after the preview and grand opening. We were excited to be part of the early visitors to Epic Universe, and unsure what to expect as they started a more routine operating schedule. We split our two nights on the property between the two properties most convenient to the park, Stella Nova Resort (a Prime Value Universal Orlando Resort) and Helios Grand Resort (a signature Universal Orlando Resort).

One of the best features of Stella Nova is its proximity to the main entrance of Epic Universe. While there were buses running regularly, we opted to walk along the path that left from the entrance to the bus parking area. It took just 10 minutes, crossing only one major road. The path from the bus parking/walking path also has the benefit of giving resort guests a shorter path into the park compared to those parking in the lot.
Rooms

The layout of our 2-queen room at Stella Nova was sleekly decorated with tons of closet room for luggage storage in the entry. The simple layout made for an easy one-night stay, but it could also easily work for guests who have a longer trip and plan to spend a lot of time using hotel amenities or at the parks.

Resort Amenities

With just a one-night stay we weren’t able to enjoy all of the amenities of the hotel. The large pool area had plenty of seating, both close to the pool and stretching into a quieter area of the resort.
The lobby was small, but convenient for grabbing anything needed while on the go to the parks. We especially appreciated how easy it was to grab a drink at the Nova Bar after returning from a long day at Epic Universe.
